Many students that leave ICSE or CBSE schools often say that the boards focus on grades and remembering information, rather than understanding it. It has often led to extreme shock if the student goes abroad or switches boards.

From who to vote for in an upcoming election to what food someone should be eating that helps them keep healthy for their lifestyle, everything needs basic information that schooling environments can provide. Not to mention, getting the legal minimum education (and even above that) is an important part of getting a job to support yourself. From 10+2 to 5+3+3+4 , the school education system was changed. The Gross Domestic Product , GDP for investing in education was increased from 1.6% to 6%.
